I was lucky enough to head out for a surf with Matt and some of his surf crew on my very first surf photography session.
It was a gorgeous winters morning with 3 foot swell and 19 degree waters with mostly clear skies. It was a really enjoyable experience, although somewhat nerve wrecking, getting into the water for the first time with a DSLR camera. It took me a few attempts, but eventually got things worked out (and sea water out the camera housing ha ha!)
I thought I’d struggle with the fact that I wasn’t surfing, but alas my love for photography and just being in the water was one of the most wonderful feelings I could have ever felt – I was stoked!
Anyway, here are some of the pictures from the first session – A lot of improvements to come, but fun was had by all. For the some more of this sessions pics click here
A very special thanks to the water models on fibre glass 🙂
