The fact that we live so far from home means that we are always missing our friends and family back home in Souh Africa. So no wonder that when any of our family come over and visit, we spend every minute with them, enjoying their company and remembering how lucky we are to have such great family’s. This was no different for us when my parents came out to Australia for a 3 week holiday.
We took a week down to a place called Batemans Bay, which is a lovely beachside town about 5 hours south of Sydney. Renowned for it’s fishing, beaches and small town living, it was the perfect place to have some quite time with my parents and catch up on all the news from back home.
We spent 5 nights, eating, drinking and relaxing – of course there was plenty of afternoon fishing off the river banks, and even a cruise down the river on a typical Australian “tinny”… It was so nice to be able to so spend the time with my folks 😀
