Northern Beaches week of fun waves

Northern Beaches week of fun waves

Being back on the Northern Beaches of Sydney has been a real treat over the past 5 days, with some good size sets rolling through over the weekend and mostly perfect weather conditions during the days.

I found myself soaking up the sunshine at Freshwater beach on Sunday, luckily I took the camera down as the surf was cranking. Water temperatures were good and the clarity was some of the best I’ve seen on the Northern Beaches for some time. Everybody was in the water, surfers, lifesavers, grom’s, parents and a ton of swimmers between the flags– and we were all having a ball with the 3-4ft sets coming through

Unfortunately the surf dropped off yesterday, however the conditions were still pristine with some of the Dee Why locals referring to the water feeling like liquid mercury, I couldn’t have explained it any better. The swell should pick up on the northern Beaches from tomorrow (probably due to storm surf), but hopefully that should clean up by the weekend – Enjoy
